ALASKA

Alaska – it’s amazingly different, with more mountains than buildings, more wildlife than people and more glaciers than stop lights. Alaska was carved by glaciers and polished by the sea.  Alaska is a place of magnificence, but it’s not beyond your reach. 

Join us in July and as travel in comfort with the added feature of having our outstanding experience to guide you.  We will also capture the magnificence Alaska with our personal Photography and Cinematic Videography to capture all the sites and sounds of you in Alaska in your  trip of a lifetime.

Day 1 –

Fly from Fort Wayne to Anchorage and visit the Native American Heritage Center.  Then travel in the comfort of a spacious RV to Seward, Alaska driving down one of the most scenic highways in America.

Day 2 –

Visit Exit Glacier and the Alaskan Sea Life Center, stand at the base of a thundering waterfall and stroll the quaint streets of Seward.

Day 3 –

Take the all day Kenai Fjords cruise to see tide water glaciers, sea otters, puffins, sea lions and whales.

Day 4 –

Journey northward through picturesque scenery nestled between majestic mountains to the Alaskan heartland to Denali National Park, the park that is larger than the state of Massachusetts.

Day 5 –

Take the Denali bus to the Eilson Visitor Center at the base of Mount McKinley soaring over 20,300 feet high.   You will see wildlife in abundance from the safety and confort of the bus: moose, elk, caribou, mountain goats,grizzly bears and more.  We have seen wolves in this trip before.

Day 6 –

Travel further north to the second largest city in Alaska, Fairbanks.  Visit the Univeristy of Alaska at Fairbanks, view Mount McKinley from the observatory, and experience the Museum of the north at the University. In the evening go to the amazing World Eskimo Indian Olympics.

Day 7 –

Ride on the Riverboat Discovery Sternwheeler, take a steam locomotive train ride back in time to a gold mine and pan for gold you can keep and visit Pioneer Village for shopping.  In the evening go to the WEIO Games for the closing ceremony

Day 8 –

Fly from Fairbanks to Fort Wayne.

MICHILIMACKINAC

In June journey to northern Michigan with Windsong to some of the most beautiful country in the United States.  Besides traveling in complete comfort aboard the Windsong bus,

 the added feature is having our outstanding experience to guide you.  We will also capture the majesty of Michigan with our personal Photography and Cinematic Videography to record all the sites and sounds of you on this wonderful excursion.  We will stay in the quaint Beachcomber Motel that we have used for decades in Mackinaw City right on the beach of Lake Huron.  From our location we can observe ships passing, see Mackinac Island, Round Island, Bois Blanc Island and the Mighty Mackinac Bridge.

Day 1 Leaving Fort Wayne trek northward to Hartwick Pines State Park to see the oldest standing virgin pine forest in the midwest along with the old mill used by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930’s near Grayling, Michigan.  Heading further north we stop in Indian River to see the Cross of the Woods.  It is the largest crucifix in the world, and it is a beautiful retreat center.  Arriving in Mackinaw City we will visit the Mackinaw City Lighthouse and Fort Michilimackinac set in Revolutionary War times.

Day 2 – We will board the Mackinaw City Star Ferry boat and  cross the Straits of Mackinac to the Beautiful Mackinac Island.  On the island we will visit famous sites where movies have been filmed like ” Somewhere in Time”, see the famous Grand Hotel, stroll the bustling streets and shops, take a horse drawn carriage ride to other picturesque spots on the island including  Arch Rock and much more.

Day 3 – We will cross the Mackinac Bridge into the Upper Peninsula traveling to Munising, Michigan to ride a glass bottom boat on Lake Superior to see shipwrecks.  Then we will venture to Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore for another boat ride to enjoy all the wonders of the rock formations with bluffs as high as 200 feet with beautiful waterfalls.

Day 4 – From Mackinaw City go  one hour north to Sault Ste Marie, Michigan to see the Soo Locks and observe ships passing from Lake Superior to the St. Mary’s River on their voyage to Lake Huron.  Then we return to Mackinaw City to visit the Mill Creek and see an actual working lumber mill in operation.  This is the site where lumber was milled to construct buildings on Mackinac Island.  In mid afternoon we will travel back to Fort Wayne with wonderful and exciting memories and relive the experience through the pictures and the cinematic video you will receive.
